Kathryn Garner Dail, PhD, RN, BSN, MEd, is a registered nurse who has practiced in North Carolina since 1981 and, prior to that, in the Commonwealth of Virginia from 1970-1980. She holds a B.S.N. and M.Ed. from the University of Virginia and a Ph.D. in Nursing from East Carolina University.

In her role as Director of Community Health Assessment and Improvement for the North Carolina Division of Public Health, she uses results-based accountability to visualize the work of public health, healthcare systems, and their partners to “DO THE RIGHT THINGS AND DO THEM WELL.”
