Leadership


Shonvá Millien, LPN, PMP, (she/her) is a licensed practical nurse, certified full-spectrum doula, and project management professional with over a decade of experience in nursing, case management, and community engagement. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Thomas Edison State University and has dedicated her career to improving access to equitable maternal and child health care through innovative program development and collaborative leadership.
Ms. Millien’s extensive expertise spans nonprofit leadership, government, and managed care, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare landscape and its impact on underserved communities. As vice president of innovation and expansion for HealthConnect One, she partners with managed care organizations to develop sustainable doula reimbursement models and works with hospitals to integrate and expand community-based maternal and child health initiatives. She also supports community-based programs in identifying and implementing quality improvement initiatives while expanding and scaling existing programming to meet evolving community needs.
In her free time, Ms. Millien enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, and spending time with her loyal German Shepherd.
