LaPonda Edmondson, DrPH, MHS, is the President of the North Carolina Healthcare Foundation (NCHF), the 501(c)(3) affiliate of the North Carolina Healthcare Association (NCHA), and Senior Vice President at NCHA. In collaboration with hospitals, health systems, and community partners, she leads the Foundation’s innovative initiatives and cross-sector programs, driving strategy and measuring impact in alignment with its mission to improve the health of North Carolinians.

Dr. Edmondson is recognized for her strategic vision, collaborative approach, and commitment to driving positive change in healthcare delivery. With over 15 years of experience in health research, grant administration, and community outreach, she is a public health practitioner passionate about chronic disease prevention and management, eliminating health disparities, and advocating for vulnerable populations.

A Raleigh, NC native, Dr. Edmondson earned her Master of Health Sciences degree from Western Carolina University and her Doctor of Public Health degree from Georgia Southern University.
