A Charlotte native, Meeka Clark is the Executive Program Manager at the HopeStar Foundation, where she leads initiatives that strengthen family stability and expand access to essential community resources. With more than seven years of experience in the legal field, she has built a career at the intersection of law, policy, and strategic communications—previously serving as an Advocate with Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy and as a Guardian ad Litem (GAL), advocating for the rights and well-being of children and families in the court system.
Meeka currently serves as Vice Chair of a Subcommittee for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community Relations Committee and as a Board Member for Hearts for the Invisible, helping to amplify underrepresented voices and promote equitable access to opportunity. A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, she is a champion for addressing inequities and structural racism through advocacy, collaboration, and strategic leadership.
Coined as “Olivia Pope 2.0,” Meeka is known for her ability to bring clarity, calm, and solutions to complex, high-stakes situations. She was proudly featured in Who’s Who in Black Charlotte (2025) for her leadership and dedication to empowering others. Meeka holds a Bachelor’s in Communications (Pre-Law) from Johnson C. Smith University and an Master’s in Strategic Communication–Public Relations from Queens University of Charlotte.
